Down the years, the galaxy of Indian medical fraternity boasts of a number of stars. But there’s only one guiding star. And that’s Dr. O. P. Kapoor.

He has delivered over (500 lectures) to medical students, GPs and specialists alike. The lectures which he began as a help to his students from the Grant Medical College, Mumbai would go on to benefit medical fraternity across the country. Till now, he has guided more than 50,000 medical personnel all over India through his marathon teaching sessions. He has conducted innumerable week‐end refresher courses for general practitioners and specialists from Srinagar to Kanyakumari and Guwahati to Visakhapatnam, where he has travelled at his own expense.

His subjects range from how to record a patient’s history and take an ECG to common lifestyle ailments such as liver and heart disease. Armed with slides, he invites patients for live demonstrations.

No wonder, the British Medical Journal proposed that he be nominated to the Guinness Book of World Records for his record‐breaking in medical lecturing. A truly gigantic feat! A real guiding star!
