The journey to be a guiding star

In 1929, a child was born in a family of film producers and businessmen in Lahore (now in Pakistan). The family elders must have prophesied that the child would one day grow up either to be a businessman or a film producer like his forefathers. But destiny had something different in store for him.

Unlike his family members then, most of whom did not make it beyond tenth standard, O. P. Kapoor went on to become a physician. The road was difficult to tread. But under tremendous difficulties, O.P. Kapoor fulfilled his dream. A Khalsa College student, he later went to Grant Medical College and got his medical degree in 1955.

The family dreamt of stardom for O P Kapoor in the business or film line, but he became a doctor. And not just a doctor but a guiding star.
